In counseling sessions, I work to create a warm, supportive environment that allows you to feel safe exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Healthy, constructive change can result from being open, in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, to your experience in the current moment. When you can clearly see where you are, you will begin to know where you really want to go.

Acceptance opens the door to healing. I will collaborate with you to help you open to your inner resources through cultivating mindful awareness and compassion.  Also, our work together will be focused on the present and identify ways to solve various problems your experiencing.

In addition, you will learn specific skills that can be used throughout your life. These skills will involve identifying distorted thinking, modifying beliefs, relating to others in different ways, and changing your behaviors. Because therapy is an ongoing experience, you will be working on assignments inside and outside the therapeutic setting to gain a deeper understanding of your inner and outer self.
